Volunteering at the Wild At Heart Veterinary Clinic is like a dream come true for Sunita.  She absolutely loves animals -- especially cats.  Unfortunately, her mother doesn't.  Even though Sunita begs and begs, she is not allowed to have a cat of her own.  She must be content to work with them at the Clinic.  One cat in particular takes to Sunita.  Socrates is a very particular cat and will let no one but Sunita to touch him.  When he runs off one afternoon, Sunita and the other volunteers find more than they expected.
SUBJECTS:     Cats -- Fiction.
