Carly loves working the graveyard shift at the local convenience store - sure she has to deal with the occasional drunk but where else is she going to get paid to do her Calculus homework? When she inadvertently stops an armed gunman from robbing one of her customers, her life suddenly gets a lot more complicated. She finds herself the center of lot of unwanted attention, mostly from the son of the town’s sheriff, which is especially bad since her parents are undocumented immigrants. While Carly is determined to go back to her quiet life of staying under the radar, Arden is just as determined to drag her into his life of mischief and mayhem. However, Arden’s father has plans of his own - plans that don’t include having Carly in his son’s life, plans that don’t include having her parents in his town. Will Carly and Arden beat the odds or will their little joyride crash and burn?
