Young Edwina’s great grandaunt was an outspoken social activist who, forty years ago, wrote numerous letters to the town's public officials requesting improvements to community parks and other public locations.  After finding these letters in her aunt's attic, young Edwina is inspired to copy her aunt's activism as well as her signature. She and her friend Roger team up to write and mail letters to the current public officials asking for community improvements. Honesty and friendship issues also help define the plot of this charming tale.  (Sunshine State Young Reader’s Award Program, 2004-2005)
