This book won the 1993 Edgar award for a great mystery book in the YA category. Twelve year old Henry Coffin helps his dad at the "Coffin and Pale Detective Agency." Henry's itching for a chance to work on a case of his own. One day his dad tells him he has to fly to San Diego and leave Henry with their housekeeper. (Henry's mom left when Henry was a baby.) I'll let Henry tell you about his new client: (Read some of page 7). Well, Henry's dad sends her away since he has to go to San Diego. But she calls Henry at home later that night. (Read some of page 24). Henry takes the case and come up with some very mysterious clues. But what he doesn't know is that he's heading into some very serious danger.
