JUMPING THE NAIL

Hello! My name is Dru, and I have a story for you. Well, it’s all about my friends and the Nail.  Okay! This all started at the beginning of last summer, and the craze about the Nail came back after all these years.  Well, let me tell you about the Nail. The Nail is a 90 foot cliff and it’s said that the water below is bottomless. I’ve heard many stories about the Nail, like one guy has even died. Somehow my best friend Scooter got it in his head that it would be cool to jump the Nail, and now Alisa is going to jump with him. There has got to be a way me and my boyfriend, Mike, can talk them out of it. To find out if we can stop them from jumping read Jumping The Nail by Eve Bunting.  (Scott H., 8th grade student, Rundlett Middle School)
