Billy, Dannie, Finn and Mim are looking forward to spending some time together and getting in some fishing.  Billy's dad works for the railroad that is putting in a tunnel crossing the Cascade Mountains in Washington State.  Life in 1926 is a bit different from today.  The kids enjoy fishing and playing marbles.  And life on the railroad was not always safe.  When things begin to go missing from the camp, the kids start to investigate.  Mim begins to act very secretive and the kids wonder is she knows more that she lets on about the things that have gone missing.
