who didn't want to. They were called Loyalists. When the debate
started in Philadelphia that would decide whether to sign the Declaration
of Independence, one man who wanted to separate from England was away.
Word reached him about the vote and he set off on a wild ride to attend
the debate. He was fighting cancer and asthma but was determined
