Christie, Agatha
THE MAN IN THE BROWN SUIT
New York : Berkley, 1984.
IL YA .

ISBN 0425067866

There are over 2 billion copies of Agatha Christie’s books in print. She is the most popular mystery writer of all time and the world’s best selling author. Many movies have been made from her stories. Each book has different characters, but the stories often take place in Great Britain, since that is where Agatha Christie is from. In this story, a 17 year -old girl named Anne Beddingford was living alone with her father. (Anne’s mother died when Anne was a baby.) Then her father suddenly became ill and died. Without any relatives, she chose to live with her father’s lawyer and his wife in London. One evening, Anne was in a subway station when she noticed a man in a brown suit that stunk of moth balls. (Read some of page 17.) The only thing found on the man was an address for a house for rent. Soon after a woman is found murdered in that same house. Anne, as a witness to the man’s death, becomes involved in solving the case.
