is a talented art student living in Nagasaki during World War II. She is
so talented, that her art teacher says she possesses a fifth treasure that
makes all her art more meaningful. When the Americans drop an atomic bomb
on Mieko's home, her life is changed forever. Her hand is injured and her
spirit is broken. Her parents send her to stay with her grandparents away
from Nagasaki so that she can heal. Will Mieko find her "fifth treasure"
and paint again?
