Booktalk #1

Tyler’s nickname is Lemon, because he felt like one. He didn’t think he did anything right. Tyler hung around quite a bit with his friend Lymie. One night they snuck into the quarry to go swimming. There were “No Trespassing” signs everywhere, but it looked like fun. They jumped into the deep water and were fooling around when Tyler felt something sliding down his back. (Read some of pages 11-12). The dead man turned out to be the high school janitor and Tyler was determined to find out how and why he died. The only clue he has is two mysterious figures who drove away really fast that dark night. Two shadows, 2 murders, who might be looking for him.

Booktalk #2

Tyler McAllister thinks of himself as a lemon. He's got allergies that mean frequent visits to the doctor. He's got a bad temper that means frequent visits to the principal's office. No wonder he's so insecure. Life changes for Tyler when he and his friend find the body of the school janitor in the quarry. The boys set out to discover what happened to the janitor.
