Set in 18th century Japan, we once again join up with 14-year-old samurai Seikei.  This time, the shogun gives Seikei a very difficult and dangerous assignment.  The young emperor has refused to perform his duties and has run away.  It is up to Seikei to find the emperor and persuade him to return to the throne.  But all is not what it seems.  Seikei learns of a plot to overthrow the shogun and his task becomes even more dangerous.
