Meet Moka, a dog who loves books. Moka and his mistress, Michelle, spend their days reading books. One day Michelle reads a book about wolves. Moka decides she wants to be a wolf and runs away. On her adventures she chases a rabbit, gets sprayed by a skunk, pinched by a beetle and has a mouse make fun of her. On her last ditch effort to be a wolf, she howls like a wolf. Haoooooooooooo! Suddenly she hears the howling back. Real wolves! Find out what happens to Moka as she encounters real wolves and learns the life lesson that it is better to be who you are.  (Prepared by: Lisa Conrath for SCASL Picture Book Awards, 2007-2008)
