Crystal's life has changed dramatically in the past year.  First she was in a car accident that left her paralyzed and claimed her father's life.  Still recovering from that loss, now her grandmother has died too.  It is up to Crystal and her mother to clear out Gran's house and get it ready to be sold.  Gran lived in a retirement community so most of the neighbors are elderly.  When Crystal's mother has a chance of a lifetime, she must leave Crystal for a few days.  She arranges for Zola from across the street to stay with Crystal.  Zola is quite old and Crystal thinks she might have been a Russian spy.  But she agrees to let Zola stay if her cousin DJ can also stay.  When Zola never shows up at the house, Crystal and DJ go looking.  Where could she be?  Has she wandered off?  Or has something more sinister happened?
