In Book 1 of “The Dolphins’ View” trilogy, a dolphin strands on the beach.  While recovering after rescue at a stranding center, he experiences an intense epiphany.  Released back into the ocean, he meets two other dolphins, who join him on a great quest.
They meet aquatic aliens with advanced technology.  They form a bond, but the aliens want to hide from their enemies and limit their assistance.  The aliens help the dolphins undergo a remarkable transformation and give them the ability to communicate telepathically.  But if the dolphins are going to solve their problems, they must do it themselves.
In Books 2 and 3, they meet man.  Scientists are awed by their discovery and the media create a sensation. They move beyond freakish curiosity when they entertain man with their dolphinalities but they are exposed to grave dangers.  They form an alliance to demonstrate their concerns, but discover political constraints of their impossible dream and find themselves caught in a crossfire between zealots, corporate interests, and government agencies that don’t share their environmental ideals.  As they try to hurdle the formidable obstacles blocking their path, they face another issue - can they survive?  (Tom Brown, BAIPA, California Writers Club)
