Packing in the mountains takes a lot of skill and a good horse.  When Ambrose's favorite pack horse is injured, he must sell him and buy a new one.  The whole idea is that he should get a young, strong horse to pack the dudes up into the mountains.  And what does Ambrose come home with?  A twenty-five year old horse that was destined to be sold for meat.  He just couldn't resist the little old lady who had pleaded with him to give Society Girl a chance.  But how will she do in the rugged trails high in the mountains?
