"McDonald's is a fungus on the landscape."  Florrie is outraged that the small businesses in her city are being replaced by the large franchises like Walmart, McDonald's, the Gap and all the others.  She has grown to love the small establishments and the quaint architecture in her San Antonio home town and decides she must do something to fight the take over by big business.  But what can one person do?  Well, for one thing, Florrie makes her family promise to boycott the chain stores for six weeks.  And then she takes her campaign to the people.  What will happen?  Will she be able to change anything?  Should she?
