Herman is a little worm who lives in the ground under the lonely orchard.  His grandfather has told him stories of the orchard and how it no longer grows apples.  One day Herman takes a chance and tunnels up to see the orchard.  But the sun is hot and Herman is in danger of drying out.  That's when he meets Marguerite.  She gets him into the shade and tells him about the life in the orchard.  He feels so inadequate next to her but he soon learns about his place in the world and how important he really is.  Join Herman and Marguerite as they discover how different creatures are needed to help the orchard grow.
