Have you ever wished you had the power to find lost things or people? A special group of guildsmen, the Wayfinders, in the city of G’il Rim possess such a gift.  Young Winchal Eldras is an apprentice Wayfinder, who is quickly making his way to becoming a full fledge Wayfinder when tragedy strikes.  During a very foggy night, known as the f’giz, he is forced to find his sister.  However, he arrives too late and watches as she falls into the deadly rift that surrounds the city.  Shunned by his fellow Wayfinders and filled with guilt, Win begins to doubt his own abilities as a finder.
Yet just when he is about to give up, tragedy strikes his village.  Threatened by the Plague that is racing through the Heartland, the village must send a Wayfinder to find the mysterious “Well of Life” on the other side of the rift.  Chosen by the Prince of the Heartland, Win is forced to face his deepest fears as he begins the journey of his life.  It is up to him to save his home and the Heartland, despite the doubts of the other Wayfinders.  Will he overcome his fears and succeed?  Or will he follow his sister’s fate and be defeated by the rift?  Join Win as he races to find the healing waters beyond the dangerous rift to save his home.  Read The Wayfinder by Darcy Pattison.  (Sandra M.
