In this tall tale, an African American sailor who has a peg leg carves a figure of a little boy and names him Peggony-Po.  Peggony-Po comes to life and is a son to the sailor.  When he finds out about the whale that ate the sailor's leg, PeggonyPo  leaps into the sea to battle the whale.  And what a battle it was!
