Have you ever heard of Prudence Cummings Wright?  Probably not but she was an important player in the American Revolution.  Prudence lived in Pepperill, Mass. When her husband was called to Concord with the other minutemen, Prudence organized a small group of women who dressed in their husband's clothes, grabbed rifles and defended Pepperill quite successfully.  Fascinating.  Read about Prudence and many other women who did their part in the fight for independence in Patriots in Petticoats.
