This is the tale of travel and adventure.  It is based on the travels of Benjamin during the middle ages.  Benjamin was a Jewish wanderer who left his home in Spain to visit the places he had heard about in the Bible.  Travel during the 12th century was hard and dangerous.  Most people did not return alive from their journeys.  But Benjamin did and he told of his adventures in a book.  These tales are retold here and wonderfully illustrated.  We get a good feel for what it must have been like for Benjamin on his voyage.
