It's a snowy Christmas on the prairie.  The year is 1880 and this is a Christmas that Emma will not soon forget.  Her mother is a doctor and now a neighbor needs her.  On Christmas!  Emma is disappointed that her Christmas may be ruined but she knows it can't be helped.  A baby is on the way and its mother needs help.  So Mama and Emma set off to help.  As the waiting goes on, Emma helps the other children enjoy their Christmas a little more.
