Jules is pretty much your average 14 year old living in England.  She's in year 9 and is not looking forward to taking the standard tests.  But she is looking forward to trying out for the lead in a local production.  Her home life is ok but her parents fight an awful lot.  One night the fighting is particularly bad and the next day her father is gone.  Jules just can't believe it.  After all, he's the one who takes care of her.  He works from home so he is always there.  Not her mother who works long hours in town.  But now, dad is gone.  And it gets worse.  Now photographers have shown up and are snapping pictures of her all the time.  What is going on here?
