Booktalk #1

Edwina is a dinosaur but none of the kids seem to mind.  She loves the kids and the grown-ups too.  She helps them and plays with them and even bakes chocolate chip cookies for them.  Everyone love Edwina.  Except Reginald Von Hoobie-Doobie.  He is determined to convince everyone that dinosaurs are extinct and that way, Edwina would be gone.

Booktalk #2

Knowing lots of facts can be interesting and Reginald knows that Edwina is extinct (if only someone would listen to what he has to say).  Edwina is kind, thoughtful, generous AND a dinosaur.  What will happen when facts meet the real thing –what will Edwina do?  (Jean B. Bellavance for Pennsylvania Young Reader's Choice Awards, 2007-2008)
