 You may not have heard of Saladin, Sultan of Egypt and Syria.  He lived during the Middle Ages.  After his conquest of Jerusalem, he ruled over most of the Middle East and sought to have all the different religions live in peace.  He dedicated himself to live by the teaching of the Koran and he is remember ss a wise and just ruler who was able to bring peace.
