Keene, Carolyn. Over the Edge : The Nancy Drew Files, Case #36. Reviewed by Alivia C., Rundlett Middle School.

I read The Nancy Drew Files : Over the Edge Case #36 by Carolyn Keene. This book is about three detectives and they get sent to the High Adventure Club (that is a club where people like celebrities go to do cliff climbing, dancing, singing, and a lot more things too!) These three detectives names were Nancy Drew, George and Bess. Together they solve a mystery. The mystery that they solve is about people (or celebrities) getting threatening notes or messages, like one of them receives a message written into a fogged up glass.

Nancy's characteristics make her the perfect detective. She is suspicious of strangers and is curious of who did the crime. She never gives up until the crime is solved. I think that she has the soul of a real detective even though she's just a kid.

Bess' characteristics make her a baby when it comes to solving crime! She is so scared of what is going to happen or of what supposedly could happen that she is always worried and nervous during the finding out of who done it! This becomes difficult when Nancy is on the case, because she has to stop what she is trying to solve to calm Bess. I think Bess reminds me of me when I have to solve some of my own puzzles.

George's characteristics make him brave just like Nancy. But just because he is a boy, he is not as brave as you might think he would be! He has the soul of a brave warrior or soldier. I think that he is as brave as Nancy but not as clever at figuring things out like Nancy.

If you like mysteries then you'll like this book! It's filled from cover to cover with a wonderful mystery that you could solve too! If you like to read about how people solve mysteries then you'll love this book!

I like this book because it was a mystery that I could solve too. I also liked how it gave you the details of how they solved the crime too. If you're into solving those "who done it", this is just the book for you. Enjoy it!
