This book is about a teenage girl in her high school during World War I.  They don't have a lot of money but she sees a beautiful camera in a shop window that makes postcard pictures.  It's one of those fancy cameras.  She decides she really wants the camera.  She goes to work for a photographer to earn the money for the camera.  She learns the steps involved with developing pictures and how to use the Autographic camera.  It is just a really good book!
