  • Face in the Mirror (Stephanie Tolan)
  • Hamlet's Dresser"  It's an autobiography - the man teaches Shakespeare and grew up in and around the theatre, if I'm remembering correctly. Published as adult, but teens interested in theatre would like it.
  • Happy Endings (Adele Geras)
  • How I Changed My Life" Todd Strasser has a school play at its center, and the main female protagonist is into the behind-the-scenes stuff, instead of acting.
  • King of Shadows (Susan Cooper)
  • No More Dead Dogs (Gordon Korman)
  • Rats Saw God
  • Romeo and Juliet: Together (and alive) at last (Avi)
  • Shakespeare Stealer (Gary Blackwood)
  • Shakespeare's Scribe (Gary Blackwood)
  • Surviving the Applewhites (Stephanie Tolan 2002) (about musical theater)
  • The Beetle and Me by Karen Romano Young, which involves a production of The King and I
  • The Eyre Affair Jasper Fforde  might also appeal to theatre/literary  minded teens -- it's a quirky,  literary sci-fi that hits on the Shakespeare authorship controversy, Romeo and Juliet, and Richard III, as well as mentioning works like Dickens' Martin Chuzzlewit and, of course, Jane Eyre.
  • Theo (Barbara Harrison)
  • This Place Has No Atmosphere" by Paula Danziger, in which the colonists on the moon perform "Our Town"
